Gavin Cox, 53, from Swindon, has become Britain's biggest litter champion, reporting over 230 cases of fly-tipping since 2020.<br /><br />The butcher spends his spare time cleaning waterways and open spaces, discovering items ranging from beds and sofas to sex toys and laptops.<br /><br />Despite his efforts, he says fly-tipping is getting worse, with many cases difficult to enforce due to a lack of evidence.<br /><br />Swindon has seen a 30% increase in fly-tipping incidents, and Cox advocates for harsher fines and community service for offenders.<br /><br />Local authorities are working to tackle the issue, including using CCTV in hotspots.
