A shocking case of contract killing has emerged from Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman, unhappy with her arranged marriage, plotted her husband's murder with her lover. Fearing she might get caught, she hired shooters for ₹2 lakh to eliminate her husband, Dilip Kumar (24), a hydra driver from Mainpuri.<br /><br />As she was about to pay the remaining amount, police arrested her along with her lover and a shooter near Harpura turn in Sahar. Weapons, bikes, and other items were recovered from the accused.<br /><br />The Murder Plot:<br />● Pragati, the wife, was forced into marriage with Dilip despite being in love with Anurag alias Bablu alias Manoj Yadav.<br />● Determined to be with her lover, she planned the murder for ₹2 lakh and paid ₹1 lakh in advance at the time of marriage.<br />● On March 19, shooters attacked Dilip near Palia while he was returning from Shah Nagar, shooting him in the head and leaving him critically injured.<br />● He was taken to the hospital but succumbed to injuries on March 21.<br /><br />Police Investigation & Arrests:<br />● Acting on a tip-off about the money transaction, police arrested Pragati, Anurag, and shooter Ram Ji Nagar.<br />● SP Abhijit R.
