A 120ft giant redwood stands in a Bristol housing estate after developers built around it in the 1970s.<br /><br />The tree, once on a pig farm, is now in the Cherry family’s garden, where they admire it despite pigeon droppings and a shifting driveway.<br /><br />The endangered species, native to California, has a preservation order and would require a crane for removal.<br /><br />The family enjoys the wildlife it attracts and says it remains a striking feature of the neighborhood.
