THIS was the shocking moment a “dinosaur” alligator strolled across a golf course as stunned players watched on.<br /><br />The crazy incident occurred at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island in South Carolina, USA.<br /><br />Golfers pay around £460 each for a day on the green.<br /><br />But they got more than they bargained for while teeing off.<br /><br />Players were left stunned as a huge alligator waltzed along the course in broad daylight.<br /><br />The knobbly monster took its time as it stole the spotlight.<br /><br /><br />And many golfers went in for a closer look as the beast made its way into the long grass.<br /><br />It’s not the first time a reptilian behemoth has made its way onto a golf course.<br /><br />One alligator invaded a tournament in Florida late last year.<br /><br />While in February, Billy Horschel was forced to herd one away as fans dubbed him the “gator whisperer.”<br /><br />A clip of the latest mega gator to disrupt a game of golf was posted online by Rick GGolf.<br /><br />He said: Insane crocodile at the Kiawah Ocean Course! Props to the cameraman for getting close.<br /><br />“For a $600 green fee, you not only get to shoot a 103, but you get to meet this specimen!<br /><br />“My buddy sent me this. They walked right by him, and then he crossed over the tee box behind them. Crazy. <br /><br />“I know they are technically not interested in eating us. But I’m still not sure I want to tempt fate.”<br /><br />Fans were left simply amazed by the size of the alligator.<br /><br />One said, “They told me dinosaurs are extinct.”<br /><br />Another declared: “Brave camera work.”<br /><br />One noted: “What would Steve Irwin do?”<br /><br />Another added: “That is truly insane.”
