A direct sequel to 2024's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the upcoming Monsterverse movie is directed by Grant Sputore with a script written by David Callaham, and will introduce several new human characters alongside the two titular titans as they "face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat." The Godzilla x Kong sequel's cast already includes newcomers Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O'Connell, and Delroy Lindo. Dan Stevens reprises his role as Trapper from The New Empire.<br /><br />Now, another actor is joining the Monsterverse. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matthew Modine has closed a deal to join the cast of the upcoming Godzilla x Kong sequel.
