Residents in Pimlico, central London, were evacuated early this morning after a topless man allegedly attempted to break into flats while wielding a knife.<br /><br />Police were called at around 1:44 a.m. after concerns for a woman's welfare.<br /><br />Witnesses reported hearing loud arguments and footsteps on the roof above them.<br /><br />The suspect, who was later identified as a 35-year-old man, was apprehended by police around 9:45 a.m.<br /><br />He was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. A 35-year-old woman was treated for facial injuries.<br /><br />Authorities have set up a crime scene as investigations continue, with the man remaining in custody.
