Shocking aerial footage has revealed the devastation caused by wildfires that scorched a large area of moorland near March Haigh Reservoir, Huddersfield.<br /><br />The blaze broke out at around 5:25 pm on Thursday, April 10, rapidly spreading across three square kilometers.<br /><br />Fire crews, including 10 fire engines and specialist units, tackled the blaze, with assistance from Greater Manchester’s fire stations.<br /><br />Firefighters used specialized equipment before leaving as nightfall approached.<br /><br />The fire occurred during nesting season, and West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service urged the public to avoid lighting fires to prevent further wildfires.<br /><br />This follows a similar incident on April 6 at Dovestone Reservoir, just six miles away.
