Kawasaki unveils four-legged ride-on robot 'Lion' <br /><br />Called CORLEO, the ride-on robot lion is an all-terrain personal mobility vehicle, powered by a hydrogen-burning electric generator driving motors in each leg. <br /><br />Kawasaki says the rider can control the machine through weight shifts detected by steps and handlebars, like a cross between riding a motorcycle, a horse and a Segway. <br /><br />The front and rear legs operate independently allowing it to absorb shocks during walking, running and jumping and allow the rider to maintain a comfortable posture even when climbing. <br /><br />Each leg is equipped with a rubber hoof that grips various surfaces, adapting to diverse terrains like grasslands, rocky areas, and rubble fields.
