China’s defense ministry accused the Philippines of provocation on Thursday over its annual combat drills with U.S. forces that began this week.<br /><br />The annual “Balikatan” started on Monday with thousands of allied American and Filipino forces simulating the defense of the Philippine archipelago and seas in a “full-scale battle scenario.”
