On Friday (April 25), the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) held a rally at Beacon Primary School for the Bukit Panjang Single Member Constituency (SMC), where SDP chairman Paul Tambyah, is contesting against the People's Action Party's (PAP) Liang Eng Hwa. <br /><br />Several speakers criticised recent remarks by PAP’s Ong Ye Kung, who claimed that SDP leader Chee Soon Juan, had "abandoned" Bukit Batok residents to run in Sembawang West SMC.
