Avon Fire & Rescue Service were called at 6.53am yesterday (April 29) following reports of a gas explosion in a residential home on Lancaster Road, Yate.<br /><br />The explosion led to a fire.<br /><br />The mid-terraced property was completely destroyed in the suspected gas explosion and two adjoining homes were damaged.<br /><br />Three people were hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries and a forth person was treated by the ambulance service at the scene.<br /><br />Following the explosion, around 40 people were evacuated from the area as a precaution.<br /><br />CREDIT: SWNS
