United Airlines reopened its expanded Polaris lounge at Chicago O’Hare on Tuesday, according to CNBC. The lounge offers 50% more space, new Crate & Barrel furnishings, and enhanced amenities as airlines compete for premium travelers. The redesigned 25,000-square-foot space includes seating for 350 guests, additional restrooms, a speakeasy-style bar, and 50 dining seats. The lounge reflects United’s growing investment in high-spending customers amid soft economic demand. United will open a larger Polaris lounge at Newark in June and is exploring plans for one in Denver.
