A drone video has revealed a haunting scene of twelve Class 60 diesel locomotives left to rust in White Moss Quarry, Alsager, Cheshire.<br /><br />Originally owned by DB Cargo and built between 1989 and 1993, the trains were transported there last year by Land Recovery for potential restoration.<br /><br />Now, they sit derelict, with broken windows and surrounded by overgrown vegetation.<br /><br />Rail enthusiasts have shared their sorrow on social media, calling the sight “terribly sad” and hoping the locomotives might still be revived for a new purpose.
