Taiwan's defense ministry says it spotted 36 Chinese military aircraft and eight naval vessels operating near Taiwan during a 24-hour period leading up to Monday morning. Seventeen aircraft entered Taiwan's air defense identification zone. The military says it's conducting annual missile tests in southern Taiwan.
