‘Scrooge’ is a 1935 British Christmas fantasy film directed by Henry Edwards, based on Charles Dickens' novella ‘A Christmas Carol’. The film stars Seymour Hicks as Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly businessman who despises Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him of his fate. Throughout the night, Scrooge is guided by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who show him the consequences of his greed and the possibility of redemption.
