Former U.S. President Donald Trump, commenting on the 2021 India-Pakistan ceasefire understanding, said:<br />“Let us not trade nuclear missiles, let us trade goods,”<br />adding that “India and Pakistan are getting along, and they can have a nice dinner.”<br />He also remarked, “Millions of people could have died due to the conflict.”<br /><br />Reacting to his claims, India firmly dismissed the suggestion that trade talks were linked to the ceasefire agreement.<br />MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified: “The issue of trade did not come up in any of the talks between the U.S. and Indian sides” during discussions on tensions with Pakistan.
