Warren Buffett will not appear on stage at Berkshire Hathaway’s 2026 annual meeting, according to Bloomberg. The 94-year-old said during this year’s event that he would step down as CEO but remain chairman. Greg Abel, his successor, will take over as chief executive and lead next year’s meeting in Omaha at Buffett’s request. Buffett will sit with the board of directors and not appear on stage. Abel said Buffett’s commitment remains strong, noting he will not sell Berkshire shares and will leave them to a charitable trust after his death.
