A collision in the outfield was the cause of some horrifying scenes in a college baseball game between Ole Miss and Arkansas in the SEC Baseball Tournament quarterfinals on Friday.

With Ole Miss up 5-1 in the bottom of the second, Arkansas Razorbacks batter Cam Kozeal socked a pitch to right-center field.

Tracking down the pitch was right fielder Ryan Moerman and center fielder Isaac Humphrey.

It's unclear if either of them called for the ball. What is clear is that the two crashed into each other at full speed.

As ball caps, gloves, and sunglasses went scattered around the outfield, Humphrey lay down on the turf and didn't appear to move.

Moerman got up and slowly ran to the wall to grab the ball, but put up a weak effort to try and throw it into the infield, requiring two ccut-offs He eventually went down to the ground as well.

Kozeal beat the throw home to score an inside-the-park home run to cut the lead down to 5-2.

Training staff rushed out to check on both players as the two outfielders stayed down for a while.

Both players ended up getting off the ground under their power, however, Moerman tried stretching his legs and saw his left knee buckle.

Moerman was eventually replaced in right field, while Humphrey miraculously continued playing.

While Moerman cleared concussion protocol, he was later diagnosed with a knee sprain per the Clarion Ledger. He did not return to the game.

That run by Kozeal proved to be the final run of the entire game as Ole Miss held on to that 5-2 advantage the rest of the way.

Ole Miss will now play the winner of the quarterfinal game between LSU and Texas A&M.
