A man quit his corporate job to travel the world with his rescue dog - with the pair covering 24,500 miles and visiting 28 countries together so far. <br /><br />William Atek, an e-commerce business owner, 28, first adopted Jack Russell mix Elko, four, from a rescue centre in Los Angeles, California, in September 2022. <br /><br />After quitting his job working in IT and tech in January 2023, William decided to set up his own e-commerce business to work remotely. <br /><br />With "way more time" to travel, William and Elko set off for Thailand in March 2023 where they stayed for three months. <br /><br />William's partner, Heather Borngesser, 31, a content creator, joined the duo after their first trip and they have now travelled to 28 countries - including France, Turkey, Switzerland, Mexico, Croatia and Denmark.<br /><br />List of countries Elko has visited - <br /><br />1.
