“Never Weaken” is a 1921 American silent short comedy film starring Harold Lloyd and directed by Fred C. Newmeyer. It was Lloyd’s last short film before transitioning to feature-length productions. The story follows a young man who mistakenly believes his sweetheart is marrying someone else. Distraught, he attempts to end his life, but a series of comedic accidents leads him into a perilous situation atop a construction site. The film is known for its daring stunts, including Lloyd dangling from a steel girder high above the city—a technique later perfected in “Safety Last! (1923)”.

Credits:
Director: Fred C. Newmeyer
Producer: Hal Roach
Starring: Harold Lloyd, Mildred Davis, Roy Brooks
Screenplay: Hal Roach, Sam Taylor, H.M.
