Region 6's Villaran snares 2 golds, sets records in Palaro hurdles<br /><br />Hurdler Mico Villaran was supposed to establish three Palarong Pambansa records in Cebu last year if only the track oval was not two meters short of the 400m standard. Villaran, representing Region 6, was vindicated in this year's Palaro in Laoag when he posted records in the secondary boys 110m hurdles (14.0 seconds) and 400m hurdles (53.52) at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium. The Grade 12 student from the Romanito P. Maravilla Senior National High School in Bacolod City established the new 110m hurdles standard on May 26, 2025 and the new 400m hurdles record on May 28.
