Jackie Smithers, a young recruit in the WRAC, is facing discharge after nearly completing her training after the army discover she is pregnant. As she awaits her superiors in her barracks it is not the only secret she has been carrying, as Corporal Christine Harvey knows only too well. And as she confronts Jackie about her pregnancy, those secrets spill out into the open as Christine and Jackie's true emotions become all too clear... <br /><br />Starring Alison Steadman, Myra Frances, Eileen McCallum and Stella Moray. This is a drama from the anthology series Second City Firsts from 1974 and a rare one at that, as it was believed until a couple of years ago that it had been lost. This is from someone's recording of it, which is not in the best of condition but is the only copy, and is a landmark in TV as it features the first lesbian kiss on TV - some 20 years before Brookside.
