Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), June 10, 2025 (ANI): Amid soaring temperatures, the authorities of the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park of Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow have made special arrangements for animals to beat the heat waves and stay cool during the unfavourable climatic conditions. Fans, coolers, sprinkles, mat, etc were among the arrangements installed for the animals by the Zoo authorities. The enclosures are covered with curtains to prevent the inmates from direct sun rays. Adequate arrangements of drinking water are also made for the animals. Meanwhile, minor changes have been made in the diet of the animals as well. According to IMD, the minimum and the maximum temperature in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow is expected to hover between degrees 32 degrees Celsius and 46 degrees Celsius respectively.Speaking to ANI, the director of the Zoological Park, Aditi Sharma said “A large number of trees and plants have been planted around many wild animal enclosures where there is more sunlight so that there is natural greenery and the wild animals can get relief from the heat. The arrangement of clean drinking water for the wild animals has been strengthened. Fresh drinking water is stored in enclosures every morning and evening for the wild animals to drink. The houses of the wild animals are cleaned with water every day so that the enclosures remain cool and clean.”
