For the third night, carnage break out on the streets of Ballymena, a town of 30,000 with a high-immigrant population. On its biggest night on Tuesday there were 17 police officers injured and five arrests. Police have called the riots "racist thuggery", beginning just hours after the court hearing of two 14-year-old boys who did not speak English. The boys appeared for attempted oral rape of a girl.
