A Bell 407 helicopter with tail number N407SJ was seriously damaged on Friday morning (around 8:49 a.m. local time) after colliding with a hangar door during takeoff at Skypark Airport.<br /><br />The video of the incident, circulating on social media, shows the moment when the helicopter’s main rotor strikes a partially open hangar door. The impact broke the rotor blades, causing the pilot to lose control and resulting in an immediate crash within the airport’s operational area.<br /><br />According to local police, the pilot sustained only minor injuries. Authorities confirmed there were no signs of alcohol use by the pilot, and no prior technical issues had been reported.<br /><br />The incident is under investigation.
