Sonipat/Panipat – The body of Haryanvi model Sheetal alias Simmi Chaudhary was found in a canal in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, on Monday. She was identified by distinctive tattoos on her hands and chest. Sheetal had gone missing on June 14, the day she left her Panipat home for a shooting in Ahar village.<br /><br />Before disappearing, Sheetal had made a distressing video call to her sister Neha, alleging that her boyfriend Sunil, a hotel owner from Karnal, had assaulted her and was trying to forcefully take her away. After that call, her phone went unreachable.<br /><br />On Sunday, Sunil’s car was recovered from the Delhi Parallel Canal, with him inside. He survived, but Sheetal was missing. Neha then lodged a missing person’s complaint in Panipat’s Urlana Kalan police station.<br /><br />Neha revealed that Sheetal met Sunil while working at Hotel Sukoon. After learning Sunil was already married with two children, Sheetal broke ties and left the job. However, Sunil allegedly continued to harass her and showed up at her shoot location the night she disappeared.<br /><br />The Sonipat police have confirmed the identity of the body and are investigating the case.
