Malaysia has proposed the establishment of a dedicated Asean Institute to coordinate and advance comprehensive regional studies, says Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.<br /><br />Speaking at a press conference on Thursday (June 19), Zambry said Malaysia will draft a concept note to be shared with Asean member states and submitted to the Asean Secretariat, then to be tabled at the Asean Heads of State Meeting in October.<br /><br />Zambry also announced the adoption of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration 2045 on Asean higher education, which replaces the earlier declaration signed in 2015.<br /><br />WATCH MORE: https://thestartv.com/c/news<br />SUBSCRIBE: https://cutt.ly/TheStar<br />LIKE: https://fb.com/TheStarOnline
