Suspected carbon monoxide poisoning kills five people in Buenos Aires cold snap

Five people died on Tuesday, July 1, in a house in Buenos Aires due to a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, according to emergency services director Alberto Crescenti.

The victims included four adults aged between 42 and 79, and a 4-year-old girl. A 3-year-old baby was rescued and taken to the hospital, where the child is now out of danger.

Emergency services responded to a 911 call reporting unconscious individuals, and upon arrival, discovered the scene. The investigation is ongoing to confirm the cause, with initial reports suggesting a carbon monoxide leak from heating appliances, as a polar wave has descended upon Argentina's capital, causing temperatures to drop to -1°C (30°F).

REUTERS VIDEO

Subscribe to The Manila Times Channel - https://tmt.ph/YTSubscribe
Visit our website at https://www.manilatimes.net

Follow us:
Facebook - https://tmt.ph/facebook
Instagram - https://tmt.ph/instagram
Twitter - https://tmt.ph/twitter
DailyMotion - https://tmt.ph/dailymotion

Subscribe to our Digital Edition - https://tmt.ph/digital

Check out our Podcasts:
Spotify - https://tmt.ph/spotify
Apple Podcasts - https://tmt.ph/applepodcasts
Amazon Music - https://tmt.ph/amazonmusic
Deezer: https://tmt.ph/deezer
Stitcher: https://tmt.ph/stitcher
Tune In: https://tmt.ph/tunein

#TheManilaTimes
#WorldNews
#BuenosAires
