The thundery rain seen through the afternoon will move off into the North Sea, with just a few showers hanging on in the north and east of Scotland. Much of the UK though will remain clear and dry overnight. Feeling much fresher overnight, especially in the south. Cloud will start to thicken in western parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland in the early hours bringing the onset of some showers here.
