At least 24 dead in Texas flash flooding, sheriff says<br /><br />At least 24 fatalities have been confirmed as a result of flash floods along the Guadalupe River in Texas, Kerr County, Sheriff Larry Leitha said on July 4, 2025. In a news conference along with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other officials, Leitha also confirmed that one fatality has been found in Kendall County, but could not confirm whether it was related to the flash floods.
