Fireworks light up Washington D.C. for Independence Day<br /><br />Fireworks explode over Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2025, as the US celebrates Independence Day. Morgan, a 21-year-old spectator from Virginia who did not provide her last name, said the fireworks were better than last year and liked the ending. Forty-six-year-old Serhii Pavlov, originally from Ukraine, said it was his first time in Washington, D.C. and he was witnessing the fireworks after receiving his U.S. citizenship two weeks earlier.
