Republicans, Medicaid cuts, Brian Fitzpatrick, Thomas Massey, party pressure
Transcript
I think there are some Republicans who are concerned about explaining some of these cuts, particularly the Medicare cuts, excuse me, Medicaid cuts, when they go back to their districts. Among them, I would assume Brian Fitzpatrick, who I don't believe has cast his vote yet, but who voted against the roll last night. He was the sole Republican voting against it. Another is Thomas Massey, a more libertarian member who is the sole vote against the bill currently among Republicans. That's someone who has been vocal with his concerns with this bill and who Donald Trump has targeted directly on Truth Social repeatedly. So someone who's been under a lot of pressure, but who realizes that he's also under a lot of pressure from his district and from folks who do not want to see some of these cuts.
