A road turned to molten tarmac and stuck to cars and glued a woman’s flip flops to the asphalt as the summer scorcher reached sweltering new heights. <br /><br />Shocking pictures show tyres coated in sticky tarmac from a residential road in Cannock, Staffs. <br /><br />The town sizzled as temperatures soared to more than 30C (86F) over the weekend. <br /><br />One woman was almost hit by a car when her flip flops became glued to the sizzling highway. <br />
