For large incisional hernia repair, IPOM-Plus seems to be more effective than sIPOM in terms of reducing mesh bulging. Laparoscopic repair of a hernia is the method of choice for all types of hernia. The laparoscopic repair of incarcerated incisional hernias is still debated in the literature.
