NO STOPPING THESE DONKEYS WHO LINE UP OUTSIDE FOR DAILY CUDDLE TIME
WITH PIX AND VID
By Shuk Yee Tsang
These adorable miniature donkeys have won over the internet by patiently queuing outside for their daily cuddles.
The videos were filmed by Ainslie Maher at her hobby farm in Sydney, Australia, where the donkeys live a life of affection, treats, and brushings.
Her farm is home to three playful donkeys with celebrity pun names: Christian D’eeyore and LL Mule J, both one-year-old male American micro miniature Mediterranean donkeys, and Jenny from the Block, a one-year-old female American miniature
Mediterranean donkey who’s slightly larger than the boys.
Ainslie said “These donkeys are honestly like dogs. They’re so affectionate and playful. Being brushed is their love language. They actually line up for cuddles.
“He doesn’t realise his size! He’ll try to climb right on top of you for a hug like a lap dog.
“They all absolutely love cuddles. They line up to get brushed and hugged.
“I had given them a treat and let them into the front yard overnight, which they’re normally not allowed in.
“The next morning, I woke up to them staring at me through the window. It was freezing, and I didn’t want to get out of bed, but there they were looking adorable and definitely trying to guilt me into getting them more hay.
“They definitely know how to get what they want. They stare at you with these starving eyes, even with a whole paddock full of grass behind them.
“I’ve only had them for just under a year, but they’ve already had so many cuddles. They’re irresistible.
“People love seeing the videos. I think it’s the combination of their big personalities, tiny size, and how much they act like dogs.
“No horror stories—just LL Mule J nearly flattening me with his excitement!
“Truly the most affectionate animals I’ve ever come across.”
END
