Fat - Fat 1970 ,Psychedelic Rock

Extremely Accomplished Debut from this Massachusetts Band, Originally Released
in the Us on RCA. Following the Eponymous Album’s Success, the Band Toured Extensively
as the Opening Act for the Allman Brothers. Fat ’s Mix of East Coast Blues and West
Coast Psychedelia, Strongly Influenced by Quicksilver Messenger Service Et Al,
Could have Propelled the Band Into the Big Time, but an Unfortunate Drug Bust Led
RCA to Cancel a Planned Follow-up Album, and Try as They Might, the Group were
Unable to Secure Another Recording Contract, Although Two Further Albums were
Released in the Late ‘70s, Both of which were Produced by Ex-mountain Man,
Felix Papallardi. Over the Years Fat Toured with a Host of Rock Luminaries,
Sharing the Stage With, Amongst Others, Grand Funk Railroad, Little Richard,
Bonnie and Delaney, Johnny Winter and Robin Trower, but Unfortunately their
Success as a Live Band Didn’t Translate Into Commercial Success.

Tracklist

A1 House On The Corner 0:00
A2 Black Sunday 3:10
A3 Mine Eyes Have Seen 6:29
A4 Lonely Lady 10:40
A5 Journey 15:25
B1 Shape I'm In 20:27
B2 Country Girl 22:56
B3 Over The Hill 28:40
B4 Duck Sweat 31:52
B5 Highway 35:56

Credits

Bass, Vocals – Guy DeVito (2)
Drums, Vocals – William Benjamin
Engineer – Roy Cicala, Shelly Yokas*
Lead Guitar – Michael Benson (2)
Lead Guitar, Vocals – James Kaminski
Producer – Eddie Jason
Vocals, Jew's Harp – Peter Newland (tracks: A1)
Written-By – Kaminski* (tracks: A1, A3, A5, B1, B4), Benson* (tracks: A1, B2, B3), Newland*
