CLOSE CALL WITH A STRINGRAY CAUGHT ON CAMERA<br />WITH VID<br />BY Mikey Jones <br />This is the terrifying moment a stingray tried to attack a fisherman.<br />The video, filmed in Aotea, New Zealand, captured the close call on video.<br />Tim Fairhurst from New Zealand can be seen in the video narrowly avoiding the sharp end of the stingray.<br />Tim said: “ I actually caught the stingray as a bycatch and brought it up to shore to release. <br />“He slowly stalked me back to the boat.<br />"At the time, I didn’t think much of it, but then out of nowhere he tried to wack me, which gave us a big surprise.”<br />ENDS
