GRAN GETS HER FIRST TATTOO AT 87 <br /> <br />WITH VID AND PIX <br /> <br />BY SHANNON PICKETT <br /> <br />This fearless gran has taken the internet by storm after getting her first ever tattoo at the age of 87, with no plans of stopping at just one! <br /> <br />Joan, 87, from Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, UK, is proving it's never too late as she ticks off one of her bucket list items with the help of her granddaughter, Micheala Robinson, 42.<br /> <br />The gran decided it was time to pluck up the courage to go under the needle as she got a small flower tattoo on her upper hand. <br /> <br />She said: “No, it didn’t hurt.<br /> <br />“I haven’t got time to feel pain!”<br />Micheala, who runs a salon in Gateshead, revealed how the idea came about after her beauty salon decided to start doing flash tattoo services. <br />Joan chose a “little cute rose” for her first piece of body art, explaining simply that she likes the flower and her family are her English roses. <br />The gran confessed that it's taken her this long to get one because she's been incredibly busy for the past 80 years, so now was her first opportunity. <br />And although she casually dropped the fact that getting a tattoo was a “bucket list before I die” kind of thing, Joan isn’t planning on checking out any time soon. In fact, she’s already planning her next one.<br />She said: "I wanted it. I’ve just had no time to go. I’ve been very, very busy for nearly 87 years.<br />"I love roses. You’re all roses.<br />"Everything is a possibility."<br />Micheala said: “My 86-year-old gran has a bucket list, and one of the things on it was to finally get a tattoo.<br />"We’ve just started offering small flash tattoos in my salon so of course I helped her tick this one off.”<br />ENDS
