Bryan Mbeumo was left out of the Manchester United squad entirely for the first match of their US pre-season tour. United defeated West Ham 2-1 in the early hours of Sunday morning thanks to a brace from club captain Bruno Fernandes.<br /><br />There was plenty of excitement ahead of the match over summer signing Mbeumo, but he was not even named on the bench for the clash at the MetLife Stadium. The 25-year-old officially completed his move to Old Trafford earlier in the week for an initial fee of £65 million plus a further £6m in add-ons. The Cameroon international has signed a contract until June 2030, with the option to extend for a further year.<br /><br />Mbeumo trained with his new teammates once in Manchester before they embarked on their pre-season schedule, and has been part of the group sessions in the US this week.
