Massive, grotesque creatures lumbered through the forest, their footsteps sending tremors through the ground beneath her.<br /><br />Beside a crystal-clear lake, she laid down her spear and shoes on a rocky ledge and gently stepped into the cool, refreshing water. Her mud-soaked white shirt was carefully folded, while the tiger cub crouched nearby—watchful yet curious—its eyes following the glowing motes drifting above the small fire. In her hands was a giant clam—the first gift from this strange and wondrous island.<br /><br />But just as she sat down to warm herself by the flames… a low, rumbling sound echoed from deep within the heart of the island. She froze. The ground began to tremble, then swayed violently, as if the entire island were awakening.
