The United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has released the first video of the experimental unmanned vessel USX-1 Defiant, developed under the groundbreaking No Manning Required Ship (NOMARS) programme.<br /><br />Weighing 240 tonnes and measuring 55 metres in length, the Defiant was built by Serco at the Nichols Brothers Boat Builders shipyard in Freeland, Washington.
