Patients in pain, empty work stations, as Nigeria nurses begin strike over poor support<br /><br />Patients in a Nigerian hospital lay in their beds in pain, unaided, as nurses began a week-long strike on July 30 over what they say is a lack of support for the healthcare sector from the government.<br /><br />With empty work stations and no nurses to attend to them, these patient aired their frustrations.<br /><br />The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) at a congress this morning said the strike will last for a week and would continue if the government ignores their labor action.
