Three officers injured in the incident are stable and under treatment in Leh.<br /><br />* * *<br /><br />In a heartbreaking incident, Lt Col Bhanu Pratap Singh (Pathankot) and Naik Daljit Singh (Gurdaspur) were martyred in Ladakh after a massive rockfall struck their convoy on the Durbuk–Chongtash route. Their vehicle was crushed by falling debris during routine duty on Wednesday morning.<br /><br />Naik Daljit, who served in the Army for 9 years, had just planned the construction of his dream home. In a tragic coincidence, his family finalized a mason the day they received news of his martyrdom.<br /><br />Three others – Major Mayank Shubham, Major Amit Dixit, and Captain Gaurav – were injured and are under treatment in Leh; all are reported stable.<br /><br />Daljit was the sole breadwinner for his family in Shamsherpur, including aged parents and siblings.
