Tropical System Brewing Near North Carolina as Africa Wave Gains Strength

2025-08-04 12 Dailymotion

The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season may be about to ramp up. A system called AL95 has developed just 180 miles off the coast of North Carolina and could become a tropical or subtropical storm within the next day. Thankfully, it’s moving away from the coast — but eyes are now turning to a massive tropical wave about to emerge off the coast of Africa. If either develops into a named storm, it will be called Dexter. Meanwhile, two other tropical waves are moving through the Caribbean but currently pose no threat. August marks the start of the season’s most active period — stay tuned for updates as conditions change fast in the tropics.
WooGlobe Ref : WGA502461
For licensing and to use this video, please email licensing@wooglobe.com
