Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee has called for changes to Parliament's Standing Orders to allow a vote of no confidence against the prime minister to be properly tabled and debated.<br /><br />Raising the matter in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Aug 5), the Beluran MP said current rules — particularly Orders 15 and 27 — make such motions nearly impossible without government approval.<br /><br />He also criticised the anti-party hopping law, citing the Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the Speaker’s ruling not to vacate four Bersatu MPs’ seats after they backed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
