Clear initial conditions for most of the UK, especially in the east, but this will soon cease as cloud arrives from the northwest followed by rain, heavy at times, first affecting Northern Ireland and northwest Scotland, before moving into eastern Scotland, Wales and northwest England by the early hours of the night.
