During a House Armed Services Committee hearing in July, Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) introduced an amendment that'd prevent the annexation of territory from Panama, Greenland (Denmark), or Canada. Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) did not support the amendment but said it was "fair game to say we disagree" with President Trump's threats to aforementioned countries. <br />
