U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a 90-day delay in tariffs on China that could have reached up to 145%. He also confirmed a side deal allowing Nvidia to sell its H20 AI chips in China in exchange for paying 15% of China sales revenue to the U.S. government. Trump hinted the next-generation Blackwell chip could also be sold under certain conditions. Beijing is reportedly seeking looser U.S. export controls, especially on high-bandwidth memory (HBM) critical to AI systems, as part of broader trade talks.
