China Cuts Ties With Czech President After Dalai Lama Visit

China has suspended ties with Czech President Petr Pavel over his meeting with the Dalai Lama. China’s foreign ministry said the meeting harmed Chinese sovereignty and went back on the Czech government’s political commitment to China.
