WOMAN LEFT IN SUSPENSE OVER 15 YEAR OLD SAFE

WITH VID AND PIX

BY SHANNON PICKETT

This woman has been scratching her head about how to crack open a safe that has been sat in her house for 15 years, with no idea of what's inside.
Ashley O’Shea from Arizona, USA, thought she might strike gold. For 15 years, a heavy safe belonging to her late father, an electrician, sat unopened in the family garage.
Her dad passed away a decade and a half ago, and her brother, the only other next of kin, died three years back meaning she was left alone to figure out the code.
The daughter took to TikTok to ask the internet for help on what to do, with her videos climbing to over four million views.
Ashley told how she has only now decided to open the safe due to moving house but even with the help of the internet, it proved to be a lot harder than she thought.
She enlisted the help of ChatGPT for ideas but with no drill and no budget to hire a locksmith, Ashley resorted to spy tactics and began listening for the combination click by click.
Finally, she managed to open it, but all the suspense died when she found what was inside.
Expecting to find a stack of money, Ashley was instead greeted with old earplugs and a bag of wall mounts.
She said: "My dad died like 15 years ago and left this safe behind. We have not opened it. It's just been sitting in the garage since he died.
"We don't have a drill to use. So how am I supposed to get into this fricking safe?
"I'm trying to be like a spy and listen, you know, for the combo, but I literally can't get it open and I can send in his death certificate. But in terms of proof of ownership, he's been gone for 15 years and my brother's been gone for three.
"Thanks dad. He left me some crumbly earplugs.
"No one's more disappointed than me. I for sure thought there was going to be a fat bag of coins in there.
"My dad was an electrician. There should have been a fat bag of coins in there, but no, instead I got left with nothing."

ENDS
